For POTLATCH 2010 and for the 7th year running, the BIENVENUE frame, set up by A.M.I., will be welcoming international cultural operators.
From Africa, the Middle East and countries involved in the Sostenuto project (Italy, Spain, Montenegro and Slovenia), they will be meeting their homologues from Provence, and in particular the operators followed by the CADO incubator with the hope of operating future synergies.

In charge of the program of modern music for Damascus Arab Capital of Culture in 2008 (local and international program, creation of the 1st world music festival in Syria: ’’World Music Nights in Damascus’’, diffusion of the local alternative scene in Syria), Jumana Al-Yasiri created in Paris, in 2009, the cultural association Abwab.
Abwab aims to serve as a professional platform for artists and operators in Syria and the region: networking, development of the cultural industries and of their market, launching of innovative projects and building alliances between local and the international scenes.

A cultural location offering a permanent and multidisciplinary programme (music, literature, new technologies, theatre, photography, cinema) targeting young people, Mattatoio N.5 comprises several spaces: auditorium, conference hall, rehearsal room with recording studio, Internet café.
Carried by the Piranha group, the Live Rock Festival for its 14th edition, will be hosting some fifteen Italian and international artists (rock, reggae, jazz, world, electronic...). The organisation is environmentally friendly, offering local gastronomic specialities.

Malatesta Records, an independent and collectively self-managed label based in Valencia, invests in artists with extremely particular professional backgrounds. Its catalogue includes six bands: Emma Get Wild, Néstor Mir y Las Potencias del Este, Senior i El Cor Brutal, Lülla, Guillemka et Ambros Chapel. These artists each have their own distinct style and work in several languages: English, French, Spanish and Catalan. Over the past few months, each has brought out an album, distributed by Popstock!/Everlasting.

"Karver" is a bookstore - reading room - gallery - café founded in 2005. Numerous promotional operations fast turned it into a prime meeting place. Karver hooks up editors and authors from Ex Yugoslavia and throughout Europe.
Over the past four years, Karver has hosted over 400 programs – book and literature magazine promotions, meetings between authors – in particular children’s books - and publishers, film projections with the directors, workshops for students, lectures, exhibitions of children’s’ works and concerts of a few very young up-and-coming music bands or well-known jazz musicians.

Culture Resource (Al Mawred Al Thaqafy) is a regional, non-profit organization that seeks to support artistic creativity in the Arab region and to encourage cultural exchanges within this region and with the developing world.
The work of Culture Resource (Al Mawred Al Thaqafy) is based on an appreciation of the value of the Arab cultural heritage and an awareness of the need for a new Arab creativity that liberates the imagination and stimulates progress.
The Association for Cultural and Scientific Renaissance was founded in 1998 with an initiative from the Jesuit fathers and brothers and some of the Muslim and Christian public figures interested in the cultural, civil and artistic issues of the nation as well as other issues of interest to all Egyptians. All activities are directed mainly to the poor marginalized groups in the cities, villages and slums, where the attention and interest is extended to the different age groups according to needs. Work is done through art activities such as: cinema, theatre and fine arts.

Celinka Agency is an independent young record company (2007) whose main objective is to support Slovenian “ethno music” and guarantee the preservation and innovative nature of the Slovenian national musical heritage.
Celinka works with musicians, composers and arrangers and collaborates with other agencies, organizations and firms, providing booking and managing services, record production and marketing services at a national and international scale. Celinka also organises cultural events and the Godibodi ethno music Festival.
Christophe Tougri, Ouagadougou – Burkina Faso

Christophe Tougri is a young cultural operator specialised in cultural management and media. In Paris, he participated in a project related to the development of cultural industries for BICFL/Revue Noire, as assistant to the project manager.
In Burkina Faso, he is leading a project for the creation of a mobile and internet music download platform. The project is based in Ouagadougou. It is currently supported by the Municipal Public establishment “Jardin de la Musique Reemdoogo”, and should give rise to a private “e-music” agency.

Since its creation in 1984 in the town of Koudougou, the Benebnooma Association (in Mooré language the name means “it’s good to have people with you”) is committed to improving the living and working conditions of local populations, helping them to become more autonomous as a contribution to sustainable development.
Over time the number and scope of its actions have been multiplied.
The Benebnooma is one of the rare associations working in the Burkina Faso cultural sector to have made culture a true leverage for local development, in particular via the yearly organisation of the NAK music festival. The first edition of this event, whose goal is to draw world populations together through culture and arts, took place in 1996..

Almahady Yattara, Bamako – Mali

Almahady Yattara teaches cultural management at the CAMM, a higher education establishment for the artistic and professional training of creators in the fields of fine arts, music, dance and multimedia. He works with culture and music stakeholders (professionalization of the sector, from projects to career management).
He in particular participated in the conception of the water Festival - site of the Manantali dam (Region of Kayes) – whose goal is to boost solidarity between populations and to raise awareness amongst riparian states concerning the environmental stakes of water management in this region. He is also involved in the Festival for Peace project in Essouk whose purpose is to register the Tadamakkat-Essouk site as UNESCO world heritage, thus stimulating economic development and peace in this desert region rife with tension.
