“Local markets, market networks : towards a new market “geography”?”

Because a strong, dynamic and structured local market is essential to foster artistic creations of quality, cultural stakeholders are getting organised within their territories, sharing their experience. They are bringing supply and demand together, doing away with the middlemen, using the openings afforded by new technologies.
But how can we create the fringe networks necessary to diffuse their cultural products without going back through the centres? Micro-markets, niche markets…What are the possible relationships between local markets across the world?
